Seattle Adaptive Sports is dedicated to the promotion of the well being of individuals with physical disabilities, by giving them the opportunity to participate and compete in athletic and recreational activities, including basketball, soccer, hockey and track/field. SAS participants benefit from the physical activity and socialization opportunities offered by the organization, improving self-esteem and physical well being, as well as independence.
SAS serves those in the Puget Sound area, as well as sponsoring events drawing teams from across the country. Our athletes are physically disabled which could include amputation, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, low vision, joint damage, severe scoliosis, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, trauma brain injury, and other congenital or acquired conditions affecting their mobility.
